Integrations
What Goldstrap does around the game: reading the log, showing your status, telling you which server you are on, and starting the apps you want alongside it.
Activity tracking
Settings → Integrations → Activity tracking
On by default. Goldstrap reads the Roblox player log while the game runs — the same text file you can open from the tray menu — and works out the place, the universe, the server id, the region and when the session started.
Everything else on this page depends on it. Turning it off also turns off Discord Rich Presence, server details and game history, and stops Goldstrap from closing the apps it launched.
Discord Rich Presence
Settings → Integrations → Discord Rich Presence
On by default; needs the Discord desktop app running. It shows the game name, the server type and how long you have been playing, and can show your Roblox account name next to it.
| Option | Effect |
|---|---|
| Status display | Whether the first line shows the game name or the details line. |
| Show account | Uses your Roblox avatar and display name as the small image. Needs cookie access. |
| Join button | Adds a “Join server” button to your status for public servers. Hiding it keeps the “See game page” button. |
| Server location | Adds the region to the status text when available. |
If Discord is closed, Goldstrap quietly retries; nothing is queued forever and nothing breaks.
Server details
Settings → Integrations → Query server location
Off by default. When on, Goldstrap looks up roughly where the game server is and how long it has been up, and shows both in the tray notification when you join and in the server details window.
The location comes from a public geolocation service, sent only as the server's IP address. A server whose address is private (starting with 10.) has no meaningful location and is reported as unknown.
Custom integrations
Settings → Integrations → Custom integrations
Any executable you want started with Roblox — a controller mapper, a statistics overlay, a stream helper.
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Name | Only a label; anything readable. |
| Location | Path to the executable, with an Open button. |
| Arguments | Passed as-is. Newlines are collapsed to spaces. |
| Pre-launch | Start it before Roblox instead of after. |
| Delay | Milliseconds to wait before starting the next one. |
| Auto-close | Close it when Roblox closes. |
Goldstrap starts these with your user rights, exactly as if you had double-clicked them. Only add programs you trust.
The Roblox app itself
Settings → Integrations → Roblox app
- Background app — writes Roblox's own
appStorage.jsonso the player can minimise to the tray and start with Windows. Turning it off also removes the matching startup entry. - Roblox theme — sets the in-app theme for your account: default, light or dark. Goldstrap writes the theme for the account that is signed in and leaves the other accounts alone.
Window manipulation
Settings → Integrations → Window manipulation
Off by default. It applies your chosen Roblox window title and icon while the game runs, and offers fake borderless fullscreen, which removes the window frame and sizes the client to the screen instead of switching the display mode.
Fake borderless is only offered for the Vulkan renderer in the current build, because the other renderers already handle fullscreen the way Goldstrap's version would fight with.
